Obama the Descendant of Slaves?

On his mother's side???

WASHINGTON — For genealogists, President Obama’s family tree is the gift that keeps on giving.

There was Dick Cheney, Warren Buffett and Sarah Palin. On Monday, genealogists added another notable figure to Obama's unlikely list of relatives: John Punch, a Virginia slave who some historians consider the first African enslaved in the colonies.

The connection to Punch, an indentured servant forced into slavery in 1640, comes from Obama’s mother’s side of the family, said Joseph Shumway, a genealogist with Ancestry.com, the website that has been researching the president’s family tree for years.

In a not so rare bit of Fauxcahontas envy, with less than 100 days before the 2012 election, genealogists have "uncovered" a link between Obama and slavery. AP might have thought this nothingburger story might give the 'Bamster a little more street cred, to have the "blood of slaves" flowing through his veins, but I don't think there are that many people in this country that give a rat's patoot whether Barry is 50% or 51% or 52% black.

Even if it were true, having an ancestor that far back on the family tree did nothing to shape his thinking in his formative years or beyond. Besides, it doesn't matter who Obama is so much as what he has done, which is nothing helpful and much to harm the economy and prolong the recession. That's why Obama is running on his "vision" for America, because he cannot run on his record.

And if you read this story all the way through, three paragraphs from the end, you are treated to this:

Inconclusive, eh? Color me unimpressed.


But, the choicest irony of the story, and the one reason why Obama would be wisest not to incorporate this into his re-election narrative, is that Obama's tenuous claim to the blood of slaves, comes through his "typical white grandmother". Being two generations closer to her slave roots did nothing at all, according to Obama, to make her more sensitive to the plight of minorities. It might be entertaining to hear Obama try to make the case, though.

It's a familiar theme when a couple divorce and share the upbringing of a small child.
One parent inevitably becomes the sensible one; the disciplinarian and the conductor of daily routine, while the other is free to organise fun days out and adventures.

An assistant can be seen walking with the father-daughter duo carrying bags of goodies from the Disney shop.
Meanwhile, the New York Post is reporting that Tom's search for a home near to his ex-wife and daughter in New York's Chelsea could be at en end.

Uludağ Üniversitesi Zehir Danışma Merkezi Sorumlusu, Anestezi ve Reanimasyon Anabilim Dalı Öğretim Üyesi Prof. Dr. Gürayten Özyurt, Türkiye’nin özellikle göç alan illerinde bitki kaynaklı zehirlenmelere sık rastlandığını hatırlattı.
Bu bitkilerden birinin de halk arasında ”Baldıran otu” veya ”Ağu otu” olarak bilinen ”Conium Maculatum” olduğunu ifade eden Özyurt, söz konusu bitki türünün neden olduğu zehirlenmelerin, hayatı tehdit edebilecek boyutlara ulaşabildiğini vurguladı.
Özyurt, ilk çağlardan beri bilinen ”Baldıran otu”nun ünlü filozof Sokrates’ın ölümüne yol açan bitki türü olduğunu dile getirerek, ”Bu bitkinin yaprakları maydanoza benzer ve gövdesinde kırmızımsı lekeler vardır. Doğada genellikle yol kenarlarında yetişmektedir. Çoğu kez maydanoz ve Frenk maydanozu ile karıştırılarak yanlışlıkla yenildiğinde, akut zehirlenmelere neden olur” diye konuştu.
”2-3 SAATTE ÖLÜME NEDEN OLABİLİYOR”
Öğretim Üyesi Prof. Dr. Gürayten Özyurt, ”Baldıran otu”nun 6-8 gram ağırlığındaki taze yaprağının, bir kişiyi öldürebilecek güçte zehir içerebildiğine dikkati çekerek, şunları söyledi:
”Maalesef bu bitki, pazarlarda da satılabiliyor veya vatandaşlar doğadan toplayarak pişirip, yiyebiliyor. Bazı yörelerde salatasının da yapıldığı biliniyor. Bize bununla ilgili vakalar geliyor. Vatandaşlar bu bitkiyi genelde haşlayarak yiyor. Vatandaşların zehirlenmelerden kurtulmalarının nedeni genelde pişirerek yemeleri. Aslında bu bitki çok zehirlidir. 2-3 saatte ölüme neden olabiliyor. Zehirlenme kusma ve bulantıyla ortaya çıkıyor. El ve ayaklarda uyuşma, baş dönmesi, çift görme şikayetleriyle genelde hastanelere başvuruyorlar. Müdahale için çok çabuk hareket etmek lazım. Çünkü bilinç kapanabiliyor, solunum durabiliyor. Zehirin özel bir antidotu yok. Biz ancak destekleyici tedaviler yaparak hastaları tedavi edebiliyoruz. İleri gelenlerimizden de destek gelmeyince köprü yapamadık. Bu çağda eğer biz hala ilkel teleferiklerle uğraşıyorsak demek ki bizim daha çok işimiz var demektir. Yol demek medeniyet demektir” şeklinde konuştu.

Görüntülerde Echaniz’in gece Amin’in yatağına gittiği görülüyor. Echaniz’in içki nedeniyle bilincinin yerinde olmayan ve hiç hareket etmeyen Amin’le örtü altında seks yaptığı iddia ediliyor. Polisin Amin’in ifadesine başvurduğu ve yaklaşık 3 saat dinlediği ifade edildi. Soruşturma sonrasında Echaniz suçlu bulunursa 10 yıla kadar ceza istemiyle dava ile karşı karşıya kalabilir

Arto ile Demet Akalın’ın geçen hafta bir mekânda yaşadığı kavga mahkemeye taşındı. Arto şikayet dilekçesinde Demet Akalın'ın kendisine "denyo" ve "Arıza" dediğine dikkat çekti.

Asıl adı Harutyun Dalga olan Arto'nun avukatı Levent Turgut Karakoç, dün sabah Demet Akalın ve eşi Okan Kurt hakkında İstanbul Cumhuriyet Başsavcılığı'na suç duyurusunda bulundu. Arto şikayet dilekçesinde 25 Temmuz tarihinde arkadaşlarıyla Etiler'deki Kahve Diyarı'na gittiğini, saat 21.30 sıralarında arkadaşlarıyla sohbet ederken mekanın önüne 8 - 9 kişilik kalabalık bir grubun gelip şiddetle içeriye giriş yaptığını belirtti. Aralarında İbrahim Tatlıses'in menajeri Eyüp Kanat'ın da bulunduğu grubun hemen ardından gelen Demet Akalın'ın kendisine bakarak küfürler yağdırdığını ifade eden Arto, daha sonra yanına birdenbire Akalın'ın eşi Okan Kurt'un geldiğini ifade etti.
Kurt'un "Sen benim kim olduğumu biliyor musun? Bir daha Demet için konuşmayacaksın. Konuşursan seni öldürürüm, seni keserim, seni kimse kurtaramaz. Seni kurşun manyağı ederim. Kimse bana bir şey yapamaz, seni bitiririm" diye bağırarak kendisini ölümle tehdit ettiğini anlatan Arto, olaya ünlü diyetisyen Murat Topoğlu ve eşinin de tanık olduğunu söyledi. Olayla ilgili mekanın güvenlik kamerası kayıtlarının incelenmesini isteyen Arto, ayrıca ölümle tehdit edildiği için koruma talebinde de bulundu. Arto'nun dilekçesinde Demet Akalın'ın verdiği röportajlarda kendisini arıza ve denyo bir tip olarak nitelendirdiğine yer vermesi de dikkat çekti. (Milliyet)

Alaçatı'da içki içerken çekilen fotoğrafları gündeme bomba gibi düşen Nuseli İdiz, katıldığı programda isyan etti. İdiz, "Bizim camiada vefa yok. Üç kare fotoğrafım çıktı diye herkes yardım etmeye kalktı. Bana yapılacak yardım birlikte çalışmak, bir şeyler üretmek olur" dedi.

Nurseli İdiz, hafta sonu Alaçatı'da içki içerken görüntülenmiş, İdiz'in aldığı alkolün etkisiyle çevreye rahatsızlık verdiği ve kaldığı otelden kovulduğu iddia edilmişti.

    Ünlü oyuncu bugün katıldığı televizyon programında konuya açıklık getirdi. Ayşe Özyılmazel ile Alişan'ın sorularını yanıtlayan İdiz, "Yüzde 75'i yalan o haberin. Görüntüler her şeyi anlatıyor zaten. Ben 20 gündür Alaçatı'daydım. O gün özel nedenlerden dolayı üzgündüm. Böyle bir görüntü oldu. Etrafımda kimse yok dikkat ederseniz. kimseyi rahatsız ettiğim yok." dedi.
Ailesinin kendisine destek olduğunu ve maddi hiç bir şeye ihtiyaç duymadığını söyleyen Nurseli İdiz "Zor bir dönemden geçtim. Ailemden 3-4 kişiyi 2 sene içinde kaybettim. Çok sevdiğim bir arkadaşımın hasta olduğunu öğrendim. Bütün negatif şeyler birikti ve ortaya bu görüntüler çıktı. Çekersiniz, yayınlarsınız bunda bir şey yok. Ben yazılan metinlere, verilen tepkilere inanamıyorum.Herkes amatör psikologluk yapıyor. Bizim camiada vefa yok. Üç kare fotoğraf çıktı diye herkes birden bana yardım etmek istedi, tedavi ettirmek istedi. Bana yapılacak en büyük yardım birlikte iş yapmak,i proje üretmek olur" dedi.
