But that didn't stop Kendall Jenner dipping into her punk gene pool for a slice of riot fashion.
The 16-year-old was seen on a shopping trip in the Big Apple with mother Kris wearing ripped black leggings and chunky black lace-up boots complete with wool calf-warmers bound around each leg.

Her pale porcelain skin and long dark hair emphasised the emo theme, as she continued with a plain white tank top over a visible black bra and giant blue-rimmed shades perched upon her dainty nose.

However, her Kardashian chromosome shone through as she teamed the outfit with a designer bag.
Instead of a kitsch Kermit the Frog backpack or Tipex-covered rucksack scrawled with heavy metal bands, Kendall was seen with a Louis Vuitton holdall - in the retail region of about $1000.

And discrediting her festival get-up further, the aspiring model has said she wants to 'know what it's like' to stand in her famous sister's shoes for just one day.
Speaking to the September issue of Seventeen, Kendall said: 'If I could trade places with any of my sisters for a day, it would be Kim. I want to see what it's like.
'The only time she sleeps is on the airplane. It's just crazy. I feel bad for her, but I still want to know what it's like.'
Excited Kendall also tweeted about her life in the fast line, rather than being squashed in a mosh pit.
She wrote: 'on set of a Victoria's Secret photoshoot!'
